approx 3000 mile round trip for you, figured at 15mpg if you are lucky, thats 200 gallons of gas, at 3.50-4.00 a gal 800.00
7-10 nights in a hotel, 50-100 a night conservative guess 600.00
food 20-30 a day approx 300.00
i would round the gas bill to an even grand, and you got 2k just on the trip.... just thinkin out loudCharles -
You can expect to spend from $1500 to $2500 on the PT.....gas, beer, lodging, food, t-shirts, and beer........
I budget for $2500 and so far (5 years on LongHauls) it has worked out very well.Last edited by oletrux4evr; July 26, 2012, 02:40 PM.Ed, Mary, & 'Earl'

and, just sayin, the car in the ad you listed probably would take your whole budget just to make it from austin to grand prarie....CharlesComment

Just drove 4300 miles in a Corolla... Yeah, no means a hotrod but giving what I spent for the wife and I in 7 days.. No beer better than 30 mpg average, motels, eats (either chains or restraunts) cost me around 1500 smackeroos..
Considering you want a hotrod that gets less than 30 mpg.. Double the gas to 800-1000 smackers hitting close to 2 grand right there.
So OLETRUX4EVR is right on the money... He's done it...Comment

No it wont ever happen with 7 large at the demands you ask.
Get a late 90s 6 cylinder and enjoy.
But I do know myself hate all the family cars that get in the way and clog up everything for the hotrods trying to get to a parking space.Comment
