It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

      Unspoken prejudice?

      fake rat rods,

am starting to hate AWD subaru's (sound like they're missing)...
and usually the people that drive them (they're worse than the ricers, 'cause SOME of them are actually fast...well, sorta),

Smoky diesels...(you know they can run clean AND make power!),

      Late model v-6 Mustangs...with fake "Cobraesque" rear fascia's, {gay)

guys in stock 5.0's that think 225hp 5.0's are faster than all the new stuff "'cause back in the day...it kicked ass!"...and can't be made to understand 3.6L v-6's are making 300+hp now,

anything thats donked, boxed, bubbled or otherwise F#CKED up beyond repair (ie, destroying all the mid 80's rwd platforms),

"bass boat" paint on anything not built and painted in the '70's...then it should have psychedelic colors, candies, multihues, and air-brush, too....especially on the hood and roof....and naked chicks airbrushed on the trunklid...yeah, got to have that. ;D

and racecars with no name....what's the deal?....thats part of the fun in racing...names like Miss Behaven, Little Hero, Old Red, Blue Bayou, Executioner, Silver Bullet, Widowmaker, Icekicker, God of War (Buddy's daddy was a minister, too!), Kick Booty, Thunderstruck, Evil, Titan, Zues, Godzilla (yeah, a reeeeeaaly big BBC), Hammer,....these were names on the cars I grew up around. 8)

Well, so much for unspoken. At least know what we like and what we don't, right?

Re: What are some unspoken auto prejudices you have?

People who take their prejudice and shove it down your throat...

Big difference between respecting the work someone put into their ride and ridiculing someone because they don't like what you like...

              On that note:

People who think foreign is a dirty word.

Turning left or going straight for a 1/4 mile is the only real racing.

              Nascar super fans.

Gold Plating anything on a car...

              Donks and Dinks

Muscle car guys who must 'race' everyone at every stop light.

Foreign car guys who must 'race' everyone at every stop light.

4 wheel drum brakes in a car that has a built drivetrain. Why, unless it is a numbers matching resto?

Big and littles on a DD. Especially if the rub and you have to use airshock and/or shackles to make them fit...

Idiots that show up to an event and decide to do a smoke show and fight with people when they get thrown out (has happened more then once)

There is more, but I'll stop here.

I think anyone who takes the time to work on their car deserves some respect. You don't have to like it...

That sound is from the flat four configuration and the unequal length exahust manifolds. One of the few 4's that doesn't sound like a sewing machine on caffine.

I like the sound, thank you very much. ;D

Cheap stuff all over the car (gimmicky chrome crap) and "custom paint" that ruins the lines of the car. I also dont like wheels that look to small on big cars.
Give me a decent original paint with little rust and dings than some dopey stripped up cheap color repaint. Another thing I cant stand is pure neglect of a vehicle for no other reason but laziness and the car runs lousy or looks lousy for no other reason.

                      1. Chrome hood hinges.
                      2. Centerline wheels.
                      3. Grossly wrong offset/backspacing.
1967 Chevelle 300 2 Door Post. No factory options. 250 ci inline six with lump-ported head, big valves, Offy intake and 500cfm Edelbrock carb.

dont like loud coffee can exhaust. i was a kid once so i understand the idea though.. still sounds like crap to me.

ricers that want to run me at every light. -the dumb bastards dont check their mirrors or even look around before challanging someone to a race. if they did, theyd see johnny law is two cars back from us in the intersection..oh wait, no they wouldnt, the HUGE WING and super dark tint with the name of some non-existant shop or "racing team" lettered on the back window probably is the reason they dont see THE MAN back there.. go get em officer, they look like hooligans out to make trouble....

type R badges- they're everywhere on everything.

blue lights on the windshield washer squirters- its illegal for good reason, AND stupid looking.

riced out domestic cars. youve seen them...

                        dubs on anything

huge wheels and rusty calipers-or drums sticking through. i can see your brakes!! they are tiny and nasty looking! youve obviously blown your wad on a set of wheels and now you cant afford 10 dollars in brake caliper spray paint..

idiot driving that draws the police to anyplace gearheads congregate. i like donut eaters as much as the next guy, but id rather not have em show up 10 at a time with ticketbooks in hand.

That's funny, I never liked race cars with names. Its a tool, not a person or pet.

I don't like: glitter paint, 70's and 80's tacky paint, Centerline wheels, lifted 2WD trucks, some of the dare to be different rides

I do like: race cars with not a single contingency sticker, factory-style paint, big & little Welds or MT's, lifted 4WD trucks, Squashed Bug

Three things that really bug me.

Building a 800 hp engine and then putting Edelbrock's crappy foam filtered $15 air cleaner on top of it that catches fire if it backfires.

A high dollar restoration and or customization with a $29.95 radio from Kragan. Why even bother with one at all?

Spending $25 G's on a paint job on a car powered by a junkyard 305.
