Don't know for sure yet, but I did a little tweaking to the diet the last couple of days and it seems to have made a difference. I'm going to hunt around and see what info I can find. A friend started working out at the same time but dove into it more hardcore than me, he's getting about 240 grams of protein a day I think. He has one of the bars as a snack duting the day and has a whey protein shake every day.I'm probably wrongComment

A Nutrionist will say .5g per pound of bodyweight. Average lifter will say 1g per pound of body weight. Pro bodybuilders/powerlifters will say 2g per pound of lean body mass. Somewhat anyway. I just make sure I consume atleast 1g per lb everyday. Its usually alot more than that, even on my high carb days. Take your protein after your workout. Im allergic to Whey shakes, so I rely on real food. Beef, Chicken and Eggs.Originally posted by oj View PostWhat is enough protien and how do you guys get it? I don't like the powder stuff as it bloats me up. The tubes of it will keep me broke, they're about $3 ea for the 42gram.Si vis pacem, para bellumComment

That rings a bell. Thats a couple hundred per day, that is a lot of protien. I don't get anywhere near enough. I don't eat breakfast, for lunch it is some crackers or cookies and a qt of V8 juice or a salad, dinner is usually chicken or turkey with veggies - and my ice cream sandwich, got to have that. Thats about it in the summer heat. Winter i eat a lot different with casseoles and heavy food that i spend the whole summer getting rid of. So if i don't get protien supplement i am just fuk'd i guess.Originally posted by kyhunter89 View PostA Nutrionist will say .5g per pound of bodyweight. Forgot to mention the wife and I do a 3 mile walk most nights. There are hills in the neighborhood so we get a little bit of a work out on the walk. We use to roller blade at the local rink until it was torn down for senor housing. I use to love roller blading, that was a great work out on Sunday afternoons.TomOverdrive is overrated

Alright folks, what's your goals?
Right now mine is to have the moobs and love handles completely gone by October. Original goal was the end of the year, but that was a cautious one. I didn't know if I could push myself enough to do it without blowing out the shoulder or ankle. Happy to report I'm steadily stepping up the weight and cardio with only minor problems.
And thanks kyhunter89, that gives me an idea of what I need to aim for.

I'll bet!Originally posted by Chassisman View PostThanks....blew Chad and Daphnes minds when we went to dinner and I could fit in a booth....LMAO....
Congrats on making the big step!
Method be damned... It works/worked for you!
I myself avoid booths.. Too hard to get in and out of..
Another way to avoid booths (for me) is to not go to eat out!
I need to make exercise a daily thing... 350 down to 325 isn't enough!Last edited by Deaf Bob; July 26, 2012, 09:04 AM.Comment

25 pounds is a lot of weight, something to brag about for sure. The smaller I get the harder it is to lose.
Due to my work schdule I haev not been getting in daily like I want but I guess every other day is alright. With the boys in football now I have to start getting up really early and doing my workouts before work. That is gonna SUCK!If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment

When you are 350 down to 325.. It isn't that much.. Really.. I do feel a little better.. Can do little more but not that much..
My daughter was workng 4-10's and going to the gym before work.. Now she is on 3 on/3 off schedule and does not go.. Hard to do with 2 little ones even when grandpa babysits..
My biggest problem is doing too much and reinjuring myself, and help thrash to make derby shows, then I'm dead..Comment
