    do rules clash?

I did take some time out to decipher classes, and found LTA version of /pro is not the same as the /pro from another place.
there is a nissan looking like a space ship labeled as /pro with a world record at 174mph in the less than 2.1L.

G/PRO to be precise, but that leads me to other cars in the pro category.

I was going along with this , even asked questions regarding my lug nuts that look like giant acorns (1987 peugeot).

I guess i go T/O if my time ever comes.

I was gonna comment on this earlier - Barry, get a SCTA rulebook, it's worth the money. http://www.scta-bni.org will get ya there, interesting stuff even if you don't get out there. Like Terry said, the ECTA follows their rules to the best of my understanding. Production is an interesting deal. Sometimes when I see pics I wonder about my ability to interpret rules. ;)

The rules for pro are the same for LTA, ECTA and SCTA... maybe the owner was in the wrong class

Remember, the requirement for /PRO is about the body (read "Aero"). For example, I can run the Buzz Bomb in /PRO with a factory rear spoiler and/or the Z/28 "pants" in front of the wheel wells but if I install the flat wing and/or front air dam I'm in "ALT"ered because I've changed (hopefully for the better) the way the car moves thru the air. There is no difference in the engine between these classes. I haven't seen a pic of the car in question but it mat be set up to move from class to class and it might have been photographed in a non-/PRO configuration.

If I was running your Subie I'd pick a class and run it. There's no penalty for NOT setting a record and if you pick a class with no or a "soft" record you may come away with bragging rights.
