Gosh dang, I can't believe I just spent $500 on a drivers side floor board and all new carpet for the vette and all I was really after was a red shifter ball with the 4 speed pattern on it!!!

welded a 14 inch body thrush turbo (classic) muffler 2.25 inch on a little sube.
tucked to be in maine snowpiles, and exact fit tailpipe, straight shot. Half inch of room..not much room for wiggle.

I don't realize what I have done until realizing how tucked that really is from standing back and looking. A paradox for this car..all the pipes dangle even todays models. Subaru don't care.

Had a fun day, did some stuff with my kid, since she is leaving Monday. Then went to town to pick up the carpet I ordered for the 65, then my friend Larry showed up and dropped off the *mint* dash plaque for the 65 that he has had laying around for 30 years or so. Found out he got his Judge featured in Auto Enthusiast with a cover shot last year, and he informed me of ink I got in HPP. It was a good day despite not getting any actual work done.

Working on waxing Red. I said I wouldn't do it again, hire the Mexicans instead, but it's been long enough. I've forgotten how bad my arms hurt from all the rubbing. Got it all done but 'cept for the rear quarter panels and the trunk lid. Tomorrow. If I can lift my arms at all when I wake up...

got derailed from working on my junk by the way of a broken bolt on a 58 Caddy and a leaky steering rack on a 89 Mustang.

Made two runs at this neat little dragstrip near Joplin MO. My car survived. Ran mid 11s at 120. uncorked it, that was a lot of work, but it was neat driving the car LOUD for the first time.
