But you at least have your projects driveable at some point.

But I'm sure your not riding the bus , I find that no matter what I'm driving that I want to modify it one way or another , it's all part of loving these motorized machines 2,4, or 6 wheeled !.

Lets just say it seems it would be wiser to finish one project before you start another. Of course then you would have to reveal the finished car's performance ( or lack thereof ).
On one hand, I agree with that, but it doesn't always work out that way. Priorities change.

Just because I didn't want to work on my Chevelle for a few years doesn't mean that it's done, doesn't mean I want to sell it, and doesn't mean I can't tinker with something else in the mean time.

Right now, the Chevelle is sitting in the garage with a flat tire, a leaky fuel cell in the trunk, and it still has the spool and 4.30 gears ... yet I've spent about $2500 buying and working on an 84 C10 in the last year or so. The Chevelle isn't my main priority at this point in my life - but I still want to keep it, and will eventually fix it up so that I can drive it on road trips again.

Trust me, I'd like to see TC finish the Camaro, and I cringed when he tubbed that nice unmolested C10... now the new project(s)... but it's his right to "tinker" with cars as he sees fit. The internet arguing about everything and anything... eh, that's just his personality I guess.

You mean when I did this??

But hey I don't think it turned out to bad...... Looks factory to me.....

And I wouldn't say I like to argue, Debate would be a better term and for not doing it, I would still be misinformed about a lot of things.........

I tore apart the fan this mourning and it was indeed burnt up.
I decided to get a 16 and center it, with my new aluminum 4 core, hi volume water pump it should be no problem.
I saw your post on the 16", but wondered more - why the first ones failed. Current draw? The Chinese crap I have here are brushed motors and the brushes don't last long. Were the ones off of it brushless?

I didn't see if it had an a/c. BBR did a neat writeup on making a poly shroud for the Ranger, I'm not sure if it's still here or not. I'd venture a guess that with a single 16 and no a/c, it will cool it fine. I did that in a 80 Monte with a mild 350, 14" Hayden, no shroud. The original radiator was from a turbo car. It would cool it fine in 100 plus heat. It will climb a little in stop and go and then cool right back down at anything over 5 mph. I'm sure a shroud would have prevented that. I would have built a shroud if I ever got around to fixing the a/c.

Being the dirtbag poor guy I was at the time, my "fan controller" was a 30 amp switch. Surprised I never caught anything on fire in my youth.

After 18+ pages... I just opened this thread. Not surprised to see that TC's pissed and crapped all over this thread.

When is the clown gonna be banned... just as others have from his same ilk? He adds no value to this board - rather, he's disruptive and argumentative... and frankly is a turn off to this board.
    Nitrous, baby!!...
