    Choice A

    Choice B

Im leaning toward choice B because it would be much simplier to replace if a fan ever failed. Im worried about not enough air flowing through it going down the road were Choice A will have more cut out..

Option A blades are 1.5" away from fins.
Option B blades are 1" away from fins.

Option A. why do I say that?

-option A looks like an oem unit modified to fit your application. Oem units move some freakin' air.
-option B looks like the parts store fans. I have 2 of them (12") on the Chevelle, and they don't move as much air as I would like - it has always run hot on the street with them (no shroud).

I am in the process of putting a mechanical fan and stock fan shroud back on. After installing a good radiator, it NEVER got hot with the stock set up... i mean, a thermostat was required in the summer because it wanted to run at 140 degrees.

OEM fans usually have different speeds too, thing is, how do you wire them? do you have one kick on and the second if it gets too hot, or just light them both together?

I agree with you on the chevelle, if you want to stay electric, just put the fan on the end of the shroud. At least that way if you want to let her cool between runs (track or store) you can get more heat out of the coolant.

The fan in B looks to be a more efficient style having the spill ring
on the outer edge of the blades.... one thing I would do if you go
with choice B is instead of having a 90* bend at the edge of the
shroud is move in a bit and run a 30* angle to the edge... this
tends to direct the air inwards towards the fan opening... where
the 90*bends allow the air to plow into the shroud and will create
some turbulence and may not flow well and in up not using the
outer edges at all.... if you go with A you would still need to angle
the top and bottom of the shroud..... these are jut little things that
          I know help air flow
