Rexx, I would like to see that '70 or '71 Cuda, 426 Hemi (well, bigger), convertible, lowered....Originally posted by rexdogg View Postagreed......actually, this year is almost in the books, as they say......for the 2014 Tour, I was thinking.....a) '69 Camaro (partial to Camaros), convertible, 632 bb Chevy, carb'd, maybe 850 hp, lowered, or....b) '70 or '71 Cuda, 426 Hemi (well, bigger), convertible, lowered....either car an automatic (getting very tired of shifting the manual, meaning, the Hurst Shifter ball and the Hurst shifter lever might look "cool", but shifting up and down every 30 yards, particularly in the heat of the south, is a pain in the @@@, and....neither car has a/c, so, here we go, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina ).........anyway, will look at all of that come this fall.......rexx!

FYI for you east coast junkies leaving thurs 5/30 who want company on the drive to the Lone Star state. I am leaving north Jersey between 5 & 6 AM. Google says its 13 hours to Nashville. Spending the night at the aforementioned HIE just off I-40 about 5 to 10 minutes west of the I-65 interchange. Google says its another 10 hours to get from Nashville to ArlingtonOriginally posted by 1956NY150 View PostThursday Night on way out.

Some of you may recall the traffic last year as we were headed to the final stop at the stadium..............Originally posted by >>>>head View PostFYI for you east coast junkies leaving thurs 5/30 who want company on the drive to the Lone Star state. Yes, as I recall it was quite heavy while I laid under my jacked up wagon on the shoulder changing another one of those highly reliable Holley HP150 fuel pumps!Originally posted by dianeokie View PostSome of you may recall the traffic last year as we were headed to the final stop at the stadium...Comment

You might think this is stupid Allen, but have you considered putting an access panel in the floor of the wagon so you can do that from inside the car?? Lots more convenient, and certainly safer!Originally posted by cstmwgn View PostYes, as I recall it was quite heavy while I laid under my jacked up wagon on the shoulder changing another one of those highly reliable Holley HP150 fuel pumps!Ed, Mary, & 'Earl'

CSTMWGN also changed a fuel pump on the side of a busy Detroit highway. Did you change to Aeromotive??Originally posted by cstmwgn View PostEd no disrespect intended but I chose a simpler solution - I stopped using that perticular brand of junk!200WINS HRPT Long Haul 2008, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 Bettendorf, WI Dells, 15 Champaign, Madison, 16 OK City, Wichita, KC, 17 KC, Newton

Technically, the stop along the higway going into Detroit was a "comeback" as I did not properly tighten one of the fuel line fittings when I did change the pump in the rain in a 7/11 parking lot a few miles earlier. No I have not tried an Aeromotive pump as yet - I am running the small 100GPH Carter that I had been running for years before my failed upgrade to a bigger pump.Originally posted by 200WINS View PostCSTMWGN also changed a fuel pump on the side of a busy Detroit highway. While technically I am a west coast junky (both natively and currently - although those sites are ~3,000 miles apart), I looked into joining you guys for dinner on Thursday but it is about 230 miles out of my way.Originally posted by >>>>head View PostFYI for you east coast junkies leaving thurs 5/30 who want company on the drive to the Lone Star state.
