All my hotels are booked and confirmed. It looks like we will be in our Pinto this year unless I get my butt in gear on the Torino project.

Can someone send me a current list of hotels most BS'ers our staying. I need to get booked up for next years trip. I going the whole way this time. Last year I had to skip out early and that just felt like I missed out. So for me from now on it's gonna be all or none. Also have some friends that are trying to go for the first time. They want to stay where we are so I told them we need to book early. Thanks see you all in TX

I met some Power Tour folks from the Memphis area at a local car show Saturday. They recomend that people not attending the drivers meeting Wednesday morning, June 5 at Memphis Motorsports Park get motels in the area of North Germantown Parkway & I 40 or Olive Branch, MS around Highway 78 & Highway 302 (Goodman Road) due to rush hour traffic and other reasons. Highway 78 is the most direct route from Memphis to Birmingham. If we are routed through Corinth MS on highway 72, these still would be good locations.

I would not be afraid to stay in Millington (that is where the racers stay) or the Best Western Galleria near WolfChase Mall. I have not stayed on Sycamore View in several years. I don't know anything about HIE on Stansell Court. Germantown is a nice area, also.
We stayed at the Wynngate on North Germantown Parkway in 2007 and they had a security officer from dusk until dawn, that parked his car across the parking lot entrance.

I'm booked for every stop (Millington Plantation Oaks for Memphis, so close you swear they are street racing a block over) but would really like to know the venues for each stop and re-evalute from there. Mainly Birmingham, Chattanooga and Little Rock.

Phil, you will be close to the drivers meeting. Good planning! You could spend the night in Mississippi and get you a little culture while on the tour. Jimmy Lewis and I will help you get an over-night permit.
