    IHRA/NHRA License

Car has a NHRA Chassis Cert........but I have an IHRA Competition license. Good to 8.50. Tulsa is a NHRA track........am I going to have a problem? I'd like to not spend the coin all all the crap for NHRA if I don't have to have their license.
    What do you guys think?

I was thinking if it was, I'd just put Doc in the car..... Probably pick up a .05 too!!! I really don't want to spend the money on the license to use it one time.

      Is this a common issue?

LOL...... What do you think? I could run 2.5 hours to the closest NHRA track and do it, but is it worth it. I literally will only use it for DW. I know the techs there well.....it wouldn't take much. Right now it is more about coin........lot of shit to buy, and not alot of time to get it.

I would not worry about it Jakey. Save the coin for penicillin. Obamacare has led to huge price hikes!!!

                        2012 Drag Week rules:

"All vehicles must meet NHRA safety rules for the e.t. and speed they are capable of, and drivers must be IHRA or NHRA licensed if required. Drag Week™ officials will not accept time slips that are quicker or faster than the car’s tech’d legal e.t. and mph. Running quicker than the safety equipment allows is cause for disqualification at the discretion of the race director."

You are good to go. No one even asked me last year at any track. Of course no one thinks my junk runs well enough to need a roll bar let alone a License or a cage cert. To quote the Irwindale tech guy last week when I pulled out the NHRA License with the tech card; " A License, you don't mean you need a License for this thing?"

I would get your physical and have it with you just in case you need to do a crossover at the track. I wouldn't want a technicality to give you more things to take care of at drag week and then you would have it for future. Don't get physical too soon. It needs to be in same month of test runs to be valid, just FYI from what I was told in the past.
