    Re: Favorite automotive "scents"

I'm right next to IRP, twice a day, 5 days a week.....the sad part is that I'm on the wrong side of the fence.

Having said that, here's a few of my picks(in no particular order)...

    1)High-octane fuel, especially burnt.....*drools*..intoxicating
    2)Freshly built engine "burning" in
    3) tiresmoke(actual tiresmoke, not my own scent.....shut your ass, SpeedJunkee..LOL)
4)car soap and wax.....I can appreciate down'n'dirty, but I like mine clean
5)fresh oil....as it's being poured into the engine(or on, all depends on if the funnel's worth a damn)
6)those little tree air fresheners, New Car Scent..use them in my personal vehicles and my semi..
7)Nitromethane.....that tells me I'm at the U.S. Nationals, having a blast!
Old car/truck smell......with some, it's just the right thing.

Sunoco "purple" run thru a high compression small block.........

The smell of the starting line at Bandimere in the middle of summer during a race........

A freshly painted car just rolled out of the booth..........

The old hot rod when it has sat in the garage overnite after having been raced the day before...........

The smell of coppertone, sitting by the pool on a hot summer day.....

Sorry the last one is girls....not cars......
