Haha. Beagle keep the lipton flowing!

I swapped the new sfi balancer on today and made some fan shroud extensions for the fan so it would cover the whole radiator.

And I painted the first coat in the guest room... My wifey-mandated project to be finished before DW.
Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

        Those are sweet!

Made progress today on mine kind of. I have had a universal radiator in this car for a long time that doesn't fit all that great. Today I made some mods to help seal it to the core support better so it would get more air pushed through on the highway and it works, highway temps were better. However. It seems now that any airflow into the engine compartment now comes through the radiator and that brought out our little friend VAPOR LOCK. It was hot today but I have driven in hotter and never had a problem with vapor lock. So what a great day, one step forward one step back lol. I will likely undo my airflow mod and see of the vapor lock goes away.

It also barfed fuel from the filler neck when I pulled into the driveway today. It was full and I have never seen the car do that in the 17 years I have had it. It barfed it from the filler neck, started leaking behind the fill cap and then barfed it out when I opened the filler. First fuel problems I have had and 7 days until DW awesome!

I am leaving the center caps home as they are one more thing that takes time to swap at the track. The morning drill at Drag Week is beginning to look like a NASCAR pit stop if we want to get laps in the early session.

Took a trip to the track and now I've busted out my sheet metal tools to make a damn air filter box. 130 degree inlet temps at night before the run are no bueno

Thought we were good to go until we went to test on Friday night. Now I have a huge hole in the oil pan with 2 broken rods. No saving it before we have to leave this Friday. Luckily I have an understanding wife who is letting me take a backup car - our 2010 Camaro. At least this year, I will have air conditioning.

Well I finally got the car back from the chassis shop on friday. Installed the motor and trans, hooked up all the assorted crap that goes with it, installed my new spal fan.
Took it for a couple of test blasts and it seems to run ok. I still need to paint the cage, reinstall the interior street drive testing and need to get at least a baseline at the drag strip. Oh and still need to get the spares together and pack everything up as well as spend some time with the little woman.

Oh and I need to workup a pump gas tune as well.

Well engine is almost done, it's going on the dyno today, and the car should be coming back from my buddy, Stevie "D" today, once it gets back I will have a better idea of what I have in front of me, but hopefully before "my" day is over, the dyno session will go off without any issues, and I can move onto other things tomorrow, cause I sure will have a LOT to do! I hope to get a quick test in friday night before heading out, if all goes well, we're Tulsa bound late Friday night, gonna take everything going right from here on out..

Wow. At first I thought that was some kind of hidden nitrous setup. But the extra oiling for the lifters is super trick, too.

I guess if you run a good windage tray the cam could really use something like this.
