    another project i have going

    this is my 57
i am the third owner it was last on the street /track in 74 it was raced in the 60's the guy i bought it from bought it in 73 and started building a street cruiser out of it
i scored it {and it is solid}for $2800 ;D and when i got it home i poped the trunk and there were a ton of the old speed equpiment in the trunk
it is now running a 331 chevy
nos headman headers {2 peice} a 4 speed and a custom clutch set up from my buddys at buffalo clutch
i did remove the 57 rear end because with my heavy foot and a 4 speed i will break it lol
and yes it is injected lol
will be on the street when i can afford to have the injection switched to efi with my intake anywho

Bad ass! I don't know what I like best: the fuel injector stacks or the slotted mags. That thing ooooozes cool.

Why do some cars look way cooler without the front bumper?

Re: another project i have going

Vintage 56 & 57 Chevy Gassers didn't have front bumpers to keep the weight off the nose.

I like them that way, as it makes them look like they mean business 8)

Only the 55 can retain the bumper as a gasser in my opinion. Thanks to TLB.

                              cool project no doubt,
but i have a question, and i'm not trying to single you out.
why does everyone feel the need to convert their mechanial injection to EFI?
i know there is lots of info out there right now, and i totaly understand the need for trouble free cruising.
i'm beginning to think it might start to fall in the "violation catagory"
i bet a mechanial injected E-85 combo wouldn't be as hard as the old gas combos of the past.
i'll bet you already have the parts too.....
your car is cool either way, it's up to you. but you have the chance to do something different here.
