2012 Fall Colors Tour - October 19 - 21

Well changed the broken valve and so far put around 200 miles on the Nova since. So I will check it over tonight one more time and get lit all loaded with chairs, tools, and our bags. Then hit the road tomorrow after work. We are going to layover in Lexington, VA and ride the rest of the way Friday morning. Safe travals to all and see you Fri.

Its 11:40 pm I've been in a mad thrash getting the Vette ready, the shift shaft seal let go and there was a sea of red under the Vette. Some one had been there before me and the case was buggered up but I finally got it in.

Fixed broken stud yesterday from Power Tour.... I guess I tend to procrastinate...

Replaced the A/C line yesterday, tune up today, load up tomorrow!

Aside from the people you get to hang with and the sites you get to see along your drives, I guess this type of stuff is probably the 3rd best reason for cruises like this. If you didn't have a reason or need to get stuff fixed, our cars would just sit there with all kinds of little problems being neglected

Someday I'd like to make it south enough to join you guys, but until then... Have fun and hope you all have safe travels

Ditto my friend I to would like to make it up north for the rod run and since my 15 yr old wants to go to New York to see the Twin Towers memorial it just might happen. ROAD TRIP!!!!

And Detroit Speeds location I have is 185 Mckenzie Rd. Mooresville, NC. So this is were we rendezous for 3:pm EST?

I need to change oil today, meet up with Chris in the morning, and see you all at DSE @ 3:00. Right?

All you guys have a safe and fun time. I'm jealous.. But I just love the way you all wait until this week to get the final touches done on your cars..Like you didn't know what date it was..Lots of pictures now...Otherwise, it never happened..

Thanks Rett, I didn't want to be working on the car at the last min. but isn't that the way it always happens. The Nova broke a valve on #3 exhuast side. I was gonna take the Mustang and leave the Nova at home this time. But that would feel like cheating on my wife. I will get some pic's for everyone that can't make it.

OK we have made it to the first hotel and our friends that are traveling along with us have been giving two rooms that someone was aready in. I didn't know that the Howard Johnson in Lexington, VA was such a swingers hotel. now they got the third room and it seems to be OK. you know they do say third times a charm. See everyone tomorrow.

Whew! Finally made it back to the lake going the last 3 hrs in the morning. To bad it to end. It ought to be against the law to have that much fun, oh wait a minute I think some of it was! I'm not telling.

Made it home last night around 8pm. Thanks to Brent and Sharron for opening there home for a great party and dinner Sat night. And thanks to all that made it for this trip I think everyone would agree that it was awesome!!!!!! Here are some pictures I have more to get loaded tonight.

NASCAR HOF Picture

Hi all. I just opened up the picture from the HOF and they gave me the wrong one. They gave me the one w/o Vic in it. I have already called them and they are working on sending me the new one. He is going to call me later today and send me a small proof so I can look at it. As soon as I get the new one I will send it out.

It was nice seeing everyone again and creating new friends. Thank you Sharon and Breeeent for opening up there home to us.
