aarrg, I have not been following the thread since I can't make the trip. I will be in No. Carolina that weekend but I'm about 2 to 3 hours west in Asheville on family business and can't just sneak out It is sooo tempting. We are leaving Sunday and I can divert to the Mt. Pilot area but I'm not sure what time we are leaving. I'll be watching , from afar

Been doing a little upgrading to the Vette, replaced the rear stabilizer bushings ( cushions )and installing some gas shocks. The bushings were toast even the shocks bushings were gone ( I believe it was all original 71). Looking for some curves on the Pilot mtn run.

Since PT I've replaced the alt, starter, flywheel, A/C line, re-charged A/C, coolant fan switch (twice) and probably the carb next week!

Just got the motor back together in the Nova last night after replacing the valve that broke. The piston has a few dents but I didn't see any cracks so we are going to run it. I' am gonna try to put some miles on it and if she does ok this week.If so I will be in it for this trip. If not we will have to start making some memories in our 07 Mustang GT. See you all in a week.

Hey Buddy, Not sure where we are staying yet. It's looking like we might stay along 81 around Lexinton,VA would you still want to meet up around 8:30 or so Friday morning. Then we go can just head down I-81 to I-77. PM your number and I can call you and let you know where we are.

A chair, whatever you're drinking, and a bunch of lies. There is an abc store about a mile away from the hotel so if you guys need anything you can stop by there.

Its 11:40 pm I've been in a mad thrash getting the Vette ready, I thought I was going to have to make my shop a EPA super fund clean up site, the shift shaft seal let go and there was a sea of red under the Vette. Some one had been there before me and the case was buggered up but I finally got it in so we'll be flying on a wing and a prayer but we will be flying. Now I'm going to relax and finish my beer and go to bed. Good nite John boy!

Fixed broken stud yesterday from Power Tour.... Things to due today.... Wash Truck, Gas up, Load up, Find camera, and so on, etc.... I guess I tend to procrastinate... Drive safe everyone..... We leave tomorrow morning..... See you all Friday....

Replaced the A/C line yesterday, tune up today, load up tomorrow!
