Dad and i drove down to charlotte and concord area to talk to shops and get some info.
Good News or Bad news?
Bad news first:
- Anyone have any other suggestions?
-Most race shops and places are closed on Saturdays.
- We most likely will not get to tour Hendricks personal collection, dad has to talk to a lady next tuesday about it. But if it happens, absolutley no phones, cameras, and or anyother device that takes pictures. Usually you have to be invited to come in but its rare to get the public in.
Good news:
- I stayed at a holiday inn this past weekend.
- We talked to NPD about getting us a tour of there wearhouse on friday, not too fancy but just something to do. They said we are welcomed to come.
- We talked to a lady at the nascar hall of fame and she said since we have old cars, we can park in front of the building in their courtyard type area. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to go through (on average). $15.95 for Adults $9.99 for kids (Group rating 15+)
-We are still welcomed to come to detroit speed.
So how about this since things are certain yet.
Friday:
-Detroit Speed 3:00 ish
-NPD 6-7:00 ish
-Spend the night
Saturday:
- Nascar Hall of Fame
- Childress Winery
- Grill out here.
(All still just ideas!)

what about the zeemax dragstrip on saturday night
Terri says definitely the winery. I would like to see Hendricks collection if possible. The Nascar Hall of Fame and NPD would be interesting. A motel close to all the activities would be nice. Thanks for the LEG work.

I would like to tour Lowes Speedway and ZMax. I will go w/ the majority. Thanks for the leg work also.
i've toured the NPD warehouse down here and saw their rather large car collection. only problem was, they were like nazi's. you couldn't leave the center isle and see them up close. kind of turned me off to ever go back to do another tour with them. however, i love doing catalog business with them and use them all the time.
any nice back country roads to run would be nice.
after all, i will have a rental....tear it up![]()

welcome to my world
NPD is nothing but their warehouse, nothing special.
We want to tour the collection but like i said previously it may not happen.
And if we have time, im down for going to the speedway and dragstip. Maybe some test'n tune is going on.
Dads going to call the lady for Hendricks on tuesday, if that doesnt work out then i will get him to call someone at the speedway.

Here's a little something Bernie has found. He asked me to post while he's having computer problems. Let him know what you think about it and if anyone has any questions.
