My Rampage... Cruiser/Drag Week Car

Patience and walking away for a while are a good thing! I am not a fan of sanding - and body work sure requires allot of it - especially if you're not much good at it like me! I can't wait to see this beast in person - hope to pay you a visit in the spring when I get the falcon on the road.

Well we're on vacation but this morning its raining so I miss the opportunity
on days like this to be home working on the car... but even with the rain its
nice and warm... this week its been in the high 70s and low 80s... its been
sunny till today.... got a little sun burnt out on the beach doing some fishing
so the break from the sun is sorta good

Normally for me, fishingis rainy and rain gear with rubber boots..

From north of Detroit.... down to Port Aransas TX... yeah fishin the surf in shorts
and gettin a bit of sun burn... yeah its a bitch... lol

Well I'm back home(got back last week) and back to working on the Rampage...
still trying to finish up the body work... I working on the other front fender... thats
the last piece to finish up... as soon as I get it done I'll bolt it back together to make sure
its all straight and nothing pops up.... if its good I'll shoot the windshield opening and
get the windshield installed... its easier to tape off the windshield than the opening....
then its wait time till it warms up

Finally... the body work is done... tomorrow I'll put the front end
back on and check to make sure it all lines up and looks good..
I'm gonna start shooting some test panels to make sure of the
color I want and how the metallic lays down.. once I find the color
I'll shoot the inner side of the doors and the door jams... then I have
to wait a bit to shoot the final job...... the job is ALMOST DONE...
wont be long and I'll be testing

No... that was just primer.... I am using PPG paint... either the Flame Red
or the Chrysler Candy Apple Red(looks more Maroon to me)... I have both
colors get still havent figured which one..... yet
