I've almost completely sworn off rubber hoses for transmission lines - even when they include them with the cooler kit... the first time I went up with Rescue Rig, I blew the line square off the truck - good thing I bring along at least 5 quarts of tranny fluid (was funny, a guy said, wow, either you're lucky or you've been there before...) No more rubbers, ever dammit!

well in my absence i was able to get quite a bit of work done on the 97

first friend bought a daytona pace car for the engine car was wacked in the passenger rear and was totaled out and he let me buy the car for and his black sedan that caught fire do to a bad ground after swapping said daytona engine for 750. i got 600 after scrapping both then with the daytona specific parts if i decide to sell them i could be looking at a $900+ profit

BEHOLD THE PARTSTONA!!!!! actually the car was not much to behold except how rotted and beat a 120,000 mile car could be. for comparison the 97 sedan i have has 250,000. the partstona had no bottoms to the fornt strut towers no inner rockers and the rust was so bad the passenger doors hing was connected to air. the paint was also scratched all over the place and both engine and trans where not original to the car but from a 97 (do to the extra vac port on the supercharger and the date codes and junk yard markings)









the silver dash trim is stock also came with roof flairs which where sitting int he back of the car

the daytona hood actually has functioning heat extractors and they have actually lowered the underhood temp of the car buy 3* on cold mornings you can even see steam coming out of them


then last week it decided to troll me and the rear window failed in the down position so bought a new regulator for $40 on ebay. took the door pad off and found this.

it still has the foam from when it was assembled the plastic was never removed so this regulator lasted 250,000 miles unheard of. i also find it amusing as when the car was assembled the line worker or the robot put the plastic on misaligned as the christmas tree clip punched a hole through the plastic liner right next to the alignment hole




i then also completely rebuilt my HVAC control unit with 2 others i had so now all the lights work and all my vents work!!! and the blower motor actually is able to move air in a meaningful fashion as air is being properly directed
