P.S. - Ann Arbor (A squared) is a hoppin' college town with good restaurants and live (blues too) music bars too.
Personally I have to be in bed by 9 or I get cranky.
We are hoping to be there by then...leaving Chicago 5am...Should be my Chad (my copilot) and maybe even Therese and Mom (they are taking the jeep for the first 2 days)

I am emailing the director of events for the Detroit VA hospital tonight. Finally got someone from Ann Arbor to call me today and they have major construction going on. They don't have room for more than 2-5 cars and are shuttling employees and patients from outside parking lots. Hopefully will have an answer by Friday about Detroit. The lady I talked to was very excited about the possiblity of a lot full of hot rods.

Got an email from the director of events for the VA hospital in Detroit and they are totally excited to have us come! They are checking with the "campus police" to make sure there won't be a conflict on the date before giving us the full green light. As soon as I hear something you guys and gals will know.

Thanks again for doing all of the legwork on this.....Detroit (visitdetroit.com) has a variety of events planned, including track days, museum visits, etc.......so, it's not like we would be the only hot rods in town that weekend......anyway, another nice and well deserved gesture to those veterans who have so honorably served our country over the years; hope we can do it...
And it's near Warren for Friday early registration and a couple good bars I know Dave.
Maybe we can finally have lunch at Millers Bar on the way in to Detroit from Wixom on Friday.
Yummmmm -
seems to me, like Millers was referenced by some of the locals/more experienced.....supposedly, a great place to visit.......so....Millers's, early registration, VA Cruise, visit to Diversified, cruise to Ferndale on Woodward......eh?......in what order should we do this?.....
