Now we CAN bring magazines BUT only current issues that are a month old!!! Unpopped popcorn is also a good thing to bring.

Here's the scoop on number of cars we can have. It looks like we are at our limit with the 35-40 that have posted here. If there are others lurking out there that I don't know about, we will try to make room. The HUGE THANK YOU to all of you that will be there for OUR veterans!

I still don't see why we can't bring 6 months to a year old car magazines. The cars are the same and I don't see any of the Vets looking for an up to date fuel injection system.. I get it if we bring We or People, that news will get outdated.. But what about Goodguys mags..

I only know what this director has told me. I have heard that some people are bringing older magazines but putting the newer issues on the top.

Finaly got hold of the woman in charge of the church events. Sounds like it will not be a problem, but am still waiting for the final ok. She said she had to check the church schedule and will get back to me. I'll post the word as soon as she calls me.

Reading the list of what NOT to bring it's divided to two groups. The useless (VHS tapes, etc.) and items that might have germs (used playing cards, old magazines, etc.)

That's my thoughts of why they don't want OLD stuff.

We got the church parking lot.
It is the Plymouth United Church of Chrrist, at 600 E Warren Ave Detroit, MI 48201

I told them we need it from 12:30 to 1:00
I also told them I would be there between 12:00 and 12:15 and will go in and let the event director know we are arriving.
As you pull in look for my red truck and we'll try to park in one location in the parking lot.
