Big ass coupe, I like it. Who do I lobby for a new class?

It pushed a head gasket before shifting to third. Water in the oil sent me home sadly.

Push is right. Wow. Cursed 4 bolts per cylinder. What do you to cure that? O ring, mls gasket, giant c-clamp Cause turning down the boost doesn't sound like the answer.

      Seriously what is the answer?

Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?

There use to be a 500ci Caddy on the bottle, in my area, who happened to have square solid barstock and modified valve covers on his car to prevent head lifting. It was like something straight outta the early 60's. The barstock attachment brackets went everywhere on that thing.

Interesting..... a head bolt girdle......... so how did it work out for him? Still lifting problems?

Not sure of a cure yet. It is o-ringed currently. More bolts would be good. The circled part is a pipe plug clamped to a tube where the old turbo drain was.

I thought that was the famous Cadillac water cooled starter.

I need a water cooled credit card if this keeps up LOL.

Saw the hood up on the EVO but never saw you to ask what happened.

I have taken to calling it " THE GHOST IN THE MACHINE", another blown head gasket with no apperant reason. I had turned the car back down 3 pounds of boost, pulled a little timing, straightend out the fuel curve and was running a nice safe air fuel ratio, the air intake temps where like 57 degrees. The spark plugs look really good and there was no sign of knock on the data logs either. Never the less I still have a broke car that will stay parked for quite a while now. Just sick to death of it.

That is rotten. Hope you can find the problem. Really want to see you set a few more records. I get taking a break too. Sometimes walking away for a while is good.

                          Good luck.

                            aint that a stinker.

was really amped to follow this.

Wonder how the Spectre LSR car managed head gasket issues... they ran a couple turbo Caddy engines right?

Yes, I'm a CarJunkie... How many times would YOU rebuild the same engine before getting a crate motor?

Single engine twin turbo. They run a stock block and heads, but they are far from factory. They run extra head bolts and other trickery to make it stay together.

Hey Sean - how many head bolts do you need? I'll send you some of mine! Will six cylinder head bolts work?

Just harassin' you. Seriously, how complicated is it to add the bolts? Is it a practical solution for your - um - issues? I want to see that big ol' boat make some full-on runs!
