Good God man - you've spent too much time in the sun! ;-)

Sorry - I tend to get practical with this stuff - please forgive me. Sounds like Greg has already collected parts for a 347, now it's down to heads and cam so it can breath... DEEPLY
There's always something new to learn.

Well I'm down to just the cam now I got a set of GT40p heads that I'm going to put 194intake valves and 1.6exhaust valves in to make them breath better I like cast heads over alum. I know that is not the popular way of doing things.

You have to feel good having stripped and properly prepared/protected all the metal. Sounds like a lot of work but like you said - you know exactly what you got now.

Yes Allen it does feel good knowing and not having to guess what someone else has done or not done, but a good thing about this car is it had it's original paint still on it and any mistakes where made by the factory.

Going back over today and see what I can get done.

Greg...Makin great progress!! What ever motor you run will be cool... I know it may not be the popular combo, but, thats why we build, NOT buy!!! and it may cost a litle more, but we do not normally use a dealer mechanic to fix it for us...

is that all Eastwood products? I'm trying to figure out what to put over the por15 on top of the floors, thinking of mixing ceramic microspheres with some sort of paint - for home made "lizard skin" at a fraction of the price. I think some sort of tractor enamel on the bottom with more ceramic would be good for keeping the heat out of the floors in the first place.

This thing looks sanitary Greg - almost a shame to get it dirty with road grime..... nah - drive the wheels off!

John the Rust Converter and the Rust Encapsalater are Eastwoods, but the Hot Rod Black is made by Rubber Seal I don't know if you have a supplier for Rubber Seal products or not a friend of mine owns the local supply house for them. Eastwood does have a product called Chassis Black that is about the same. And yes I plan on driving the wheels off it when it's done.
