Well we are on our second day of Demo Derbies they took first and second place in the heat she got first,but the feature he got second place and she got fourth so much for eight years in a row. He's not going back to run today,but she is.(damn it)HaHa

I went to Jegs today and bought a TCI valve body I'm going to try that and see if it fixes the problem.

Well it was pretty enough for second place. The last hit he made knocked the timing off and the car died and he could'nt get it started again it was after the race that we figured out the distrib. had spun,but he has won this race 7 years in a row it had to come to a end sometime.

I guess the art of demolition derby has changed.....used to be, if you wanted to enter, you paid the local junkyard vendor $100 for one of his 'running' junkers. Good luck with that. Protect the radiator and go at it.
This car is beautiful.....and designed to hit other vehicles low....maybe the plan is to damage the oil pan........looks like it will lift the other vehicle, maybe even turn it over......eh??

Ed they are all built this way in this class and as for the oil pans they are plated with 1/4" steel plate as well as the trans pan. I need to get some after shots and you will see the car did'nt change much a little sheet metal damage. I'm hopeing they will get over this hobbie soon. I told them I was quiting after this year I have been doing it for 21 years and seen all the changes that have taken place and it has just gotten crazy and I don't want to see them get hurt.

I've noticed that the derby guys as of late have been going for blood in this area also... is this what you have been seeing also??

Yes Patrick Thats the same around here and alot of the time 4or5 of them team up and knock the rest of the feild out and then split all the money up between them and the crowd that paid to see a derby gets cheated by this act. We don't derby this way we go for it all not because we are greedy,but because that is what the people came to see and that is what are sponcers pay to see.
