Last night our smoke dectector battery started running out - Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!
That kept Unit awake all night. There I am sleeping like Santa on the morning after. I've got my earplugs in, because Spankie's licking and slurping and grunting just takes me out of the sleeping game.
The earplugs do a better job of blocking high frequency sound than midrange (like dog slurping). I never heard the chirping smoke detector until I took my earplugs out this morning. By then, Unit hadn't slept a lick at Weeville. She had to take a nap for a while today to catch up.
So..... Unit can't hear a word you say in person, but CAN hear the chirping smoke detector. And with the earplugs in I can sure hear a dog slurping and licking himself in the middle of the night but I CAN'T hear the smoke dectector.
It's...it's....
