    the notso pretty 56 F100

this is my 56 F100, cost me $100 (price of fuel to be delievered) it was pulled off some hunting property in central texas, I got it sight unseen and this is the first pic of it so I havent actually seen it in person, but the truck is currently sitting at my co-workers house bout 40 miles from me and should be delievered next weekend

yea its kinda rough, but I already got another bed for it and BS member 63 falcon hooked me up with a 302 roller long block

one of the most underated suspension fabricating gurus in the country lives in the houston area and is a good friend of mine (weve been friends since 94) and stopped by the house to talk about what were going to do for the front suspension, Im going to keep that under wraps til fabrication takes place and pics will be posted

so for now its time to troll the internet looking for as much info and parts availability I can find

oh btw - I plan on leaving the body as is, paint and body are at the very very bottom of the list of items to be done

IFS front, 9'' or 8.8 rear, 302 roller and an AOD, 15'' steel wheels for now on radial tires - plan is to do some searching for pics of a late 50s early 60s push truck/ support truck and do something like that

keep it in a garage!!! I've seen what happens to cars where you live. Even *in* the garage.

                    Nice score!

that wheel loks in similar condition to the wheel in my falcon - I was thinking of wrapping the rim with friction tape like the old nascar guys used to do - make it easier to grip and cover up all the cracks with a vintage feel.... along with that tach on the column of course!

This is great timing my brother and I will be starting on our dads 53 F100 after the first of the year. It looks a lot like yours but redder. Our goal is to get it on the road for $1500.00 and then go from there. Good luck with yours, I will be watching.
