Let's see some pictures of the whole car. Are you in the shop working like a mad man getting this thing ready?

That pic makes me think that side exit exhaust may be a wise move following the KISS principle with precious little time left to complete the car, it should be back here this weekend....
the little things are starting to pile up - vent window seals - $90 for two pieces of freaking rubber.... ugh.Last edited by milner351; July 16, 2013, 09:35 AM.There's always something new to learn.Comment

No matter how many cars I build, I'm always amazed at how the little pieces at the end add up so quickly! When you think you've made all the major purchases, then there's hundreds of dollars in small pieces to finish up!Comment

One piece plexiglass? safer too - it's not like you'll be leaving this car outside to be damaged by UV rays and snow loads.Originally posted by milner351 View PostThat pic makes me think that side exit exhaust may be a wise move following the KISS principle with precious little time left to complete the car, it should be back here this weekend....

Car is back home - a few things were damaged in transport (hood inside car - no latch yet)
needs wet sand and buff but given what he started with a month ago - the transformation is amazing.
Lots of subtle details really make it.
We got the windshield in, found the rear glass gasket to be the wrong one, got stranded by the rear brakes on his truck while running down parts - that ate up valuable time - bypassed the rear brakes and got him back on the road home.
Took the bag off the engine, adjusted the valves again for peace of mind, put new intake gaskets on got it sealed up and torqued down, valve covers are tight - it's ready to install. Trans is ready to go - then confirm drive shaft length, install fuel tank, run fuel and brake lines and wire it.
Macs is going to send me a replacement rear window glass, I'm looking into other suppliers - it's off by over 6" at the bottom - corner to corner they said "those need a lot of stretching" 2 200+ pound guys playing tug of war on this thing - didn't make it close and I'm not risking an OEM rear glass fighting with this thing! There's always something new to learn.Comment

I hate Mac's, I always do business with falconparts.com if I can help it. They didn't send you the wrong rubber, did they/ make sure you specify NON- t bird style roof. Rosie & Ron know their stuff, Macs sucks http://www.falconparts.com/ford-falc...OOFS-8p252.htmComment

I did mine on a 90 degree day, that helps much. The front window from 61 up interchanges to '68 if I'm not mistaken, but some 62's and all from '63 up rears are different,as well as the rear quarter windows.
