Re: got a motor thinkin of project
Sounds like a great plan..Although I may stick to one carb in order to make the forced induction plumbing easier. Just a thought. Either way it should be really cool. 8)200 mph or bust.......Comment

Re: got a motor thinkin of project
i have a cross fire injection intake and made the top plate ya may want to stick with one carb also for the reason two do not fit nice on that intake i tried
the real cross rams{for carbs} are space out different {have two also one z/28 amd one offy side by side} with one carb plumbing would be easyer and it is kindof like a smokey ram {have one}
as for how they run have not tried it was on my s-10 and sold it before i finished it less engine and tranny
let me know how it worksComment

Re: got a motor thinkin of project
It sounds interesting, although the idea of two carbs on an intake originally meant for EFI and then combined with a turbo sounds like quite a tuning challenge. If I were working on it, I'd keep it EFI and put larger injectors in there, but it depends on what you're good at tuning.Comment

Re: got a motor thinkin of project
Maybe, but with an airgap you could have made more.
My first choice of intake for anything below 6500rpm is
the Edelbrock Performer RPM airgap.
While the cross-fire intake looks like the cross ram intake from the 67-69 Z-28,
it is far more restrictive, and material thickness, and port pinch precludes you from porting it
in a manner that would help.
They are a lost cause.
I hate to see people go thru all the labor, and cost of making something
work, that just won't.
Give yourself a break, don't do it.
Just my $.02.Comment

Re: got a motor thinkin of project
Thanks for you advise and I'm starting to agree. I will probably look into a air gab intake or at least a performer.....depends on what I can find at local swap meets...Comment
