Still heading up north. Its getting harder every time though. The Tundra isn't frozen anymore its +30C up there quite frequently now. I'll go up once or twice more for sure. starting to miss out on to many things at home. I have some neat pictures on my phone that I will have to figure out how to transfer some day but for now here is a little project I completed:

Decided to ad some more ventilation. This is a Fan-tastic Vent with a 3 speed fan. ($230)
Installation in progress. I hope it doesn't leak. I used lots of sealant!

Down by the river ( It beats a parking lot)

      The night shift:

The last trip I averaged 14 MPG doing about 115km/hr.

Kinda funny I don't know what that equals in km/litre or how fast 115 is in MPH. I don't measure short distances with KM, I use miles. When measuring tolerances I use inches (thou) but pipe work is all mm. When I cook I use F but when talking about the weather I use C. Stupid metric system gets me all mixed up.

I've also been wondering if this thing could be converted to 4 wheel drive. That would be cool.

A friend of mine had a 4x4 version of your van... so yep, it's quite possible, last I heard, it wasn't that expensive to do or even have done (like $1,500 and you only provide the cash)

100 km/hr is 62 mph. You can figure the math from there.

I wonder who did it. Maybe Pathfinder. I would think it would cost more. You would need transfer case, front diff, spring hangers, springs, 2 drive shafts, 2 shocks....

The roof vent doesn't leak! YAY!!! It rained quite a bit today.

Recent trip to Kelowna B.C. this is a trussle on the Kettle Valley Railway. The railway was cleared and restored in the 90's for bike and hiking use. Unfortunately in 2003 most of the area was destroyed by forest fires. The path has been rebuilt and re-opened though.

I take it you have been there. Its nice easy riding, we put on 40 km in a very short afternoon. The grade is only 2.2% apparently steam engines didn't make much power back in the day!

I am packing up to leave manyana. The neighbor baked me cookies for the trip! I am also going to take the generator this trip. Just in case I have to run to town and buy a portable AC unit. I'm working nights and it might get too hot during the days. I hope the new Fan-tastic fan is the answer though.

Wouldn't want your parents getting hot!

                      Nice pictures!

power wasn't the problem, traction was....

Changed the cabin 12V battery put a slightly larger one in, while we were at it. Also changed the charge solenoid it was toast also. Gave a quick wax job but need to get some proper wax for the fiberglass. The stuff I have doesn't work to well, it looks very streaky.

                          Still the results were EXCELLENT:

Looks like a brand new machine! (I wish)

damn, and I thought I did some pretty good transformations - after seeing that, I'm just a rookie.
