Then maybe the little bastards should've thought about that before acting like jackasses. After nine years, I can tell you how many kids showed up in the Army that had no reason to be there, and I can also tell you how many didn't get over it then and wound up leaving the planet early. Go ahead. Ask me about the kid who flipped his '97 Firebird nose-over-tail four times. Ask me about the one who laid down a bike at over 100mph wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and no helmet. Are you f*cking kidding me? You sincerely think for a second that'll help them?
      Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."

why you buy a v8 mustang and not the v6?
track time only right.. or is it to tow a trailor?
I make no bones about it, I have a v8 because I like the feeling of speed and torque pushing me into the seat..
don't need it to drive on public roads.. I know it was the exhaust sound that sold you on a v8 over a v6

it's criminal.. you do know that , that on a record can stop them from being in the armed forces(unless thats changed)
            getting a job, and college..
            brillant

            I guess not .... LOL

And that is my point .... I'm all for giving them a pass when the situation warrants it. But a serious, dangerous, potentially deadly situation needs to be dealt with differently. A big reason is this: the next time these kids comes down my street racing, running over sidewalks, and hit a child, I want the official record that they have done it before. I want their parents to ask why junior nrrds $450 for his allowance to pay a fine .... maybe they will pay attention then.

But I see your point, since the Sheriff dropped the ball, he is now fair game for a lawsuit, and since he put this under the school's authority, they will be as well .... Lord knows the parent shouldn't be accountable .....

Who's talking about making those kids pay the rest of their life for speeding?
I think they would be better served by being held accountable now than letting them go on and on until something happens that they will really regret for the rest of their lives.

whom says they are not now.. , bam bam just doesn't like the way it's being done..
guess by your mindset every girl should tell there first, that they are late, as that make them think about use'n a raincoat next time before they "letting them go on and on until something happens that they will really regret for the rest of their lives"
                  right..
as seen as no one knows for sure what the cop is going to do to enforce/punish them.. it don't really matter..

I don't understand your anaolgy but, it shouldn't be the cops job to punish them.

guess they should take that check box off the ticket book, you know the one that says warning beside it..

I fully believe that the cop in this situation was wrong, The "infracton" did not occur on school grounds and school should not have been part of the punishment. Would they call your store manager and make you work overtime as a warning? I think not.
Someone said earlier school is a privilege, well so is driving, and if you abuse the privilege it gets revoked, you face consequences, your parents face consequences whatever. F'ing behave behind the wheel or get out.

Stitch if you think 17 yr olds hauling ass through your neighborhood is ok, fine. I don't think it is but you go ahead and think whatever you want. When they come through your neighborhood and loose control of their vehicle and hit the lady pushing the stroller and kill her and her daughter will you say "boys will be boys", "We were kids once"... Yeah we were kids once, and several idiots I knew in Highschool died then or shortly after in high speed auto wrecks on city streets. Most of my friends took it out of town or to deserted areas when they wanted to show off. If nothing else these kids Bamfster mentions should be punished for being idiots and doing this where people live.

Please take a look at this link, it is a group trying to get kids to race in safe legal areas...seems like maybe what we should actually be about as the adults looking at and arguing over this is making a positive difference
