suggested fri afternoon activity - the museum for those of us that haven't seen it.
suggested hotel for friday nite - i don't think most of us had any problems with the quality inn. actually, our room was pretty nice.
DTB mentioned a hotel on the other end. can we get him to post them details?Bruce, Sanford, Fl

thanks for your offer, but terri makes the t shirts for this tour. terri, maybe you can work on a generic one were we can, as we talked about, just add the year. the fall one you already designed should work. so maybe you can come up with a spring one.Originally posted by Pronova View PostAnybody want me to design a T-shirt and Have it online for us to buy I would love to do something or at least tryLast edited by cobra; November 15, 2011, 09:13 AM.Bruce, Sanford, Fl

Whoa found a more detailed map
Also we had talked about stopping about half way on the route to have a cook out lunch, at about half way is Big Meadows and Byrd Visitor Center
I found another map & there seems to be some areas, to the North, that we did not see when cruising thru there on our way home. I.e. a place where we could set up a grill and all of us could park.
When we stopped there at the Byrd Visitor Center, the parking lot was pretty crowded.
There is a gas station there too, gas price was pretty reasonable too.
There looks like a place that is north of Byrd Visitor Center where we could stretch out.
If some one lives near by or is more familiar with the area around Byrd Visitor Center please chime in.

Alright we have a time and a place. I can start checking with the car Museum(for Fri) and the Caverns(for Sat) and see about a group rate if you guys don't mind and everyone wants to do that. Also anyone coming from the Northeast I have maped out a route from Frederick so we don't have to stay on the highways down and back. I know it's early but I' am thinking leaving Frederick around 10am (Fri) and its a open invite for all to tag along. The route down will be RT15 to RT29 then pick up I-64 to I-81 and hit the car museum & hotel. Then coming home we would take 340 to RT 7, then pick RT 287 to MD then pick up RT340 in brunswick. It gonna be a nice trip and I look forward to seeing everyone again.Comment
