I didn't share a hotel room with anyone, and I didn't pay over $80 before taxes for each room during the event. Paid more in Denver to and from. Food was minimal for me, too. Continental breakfast at the hotels, maybe a lunch, then pizza for dinner.
Fuel is just simple math of how far and expected mpgs. I was averaging 17mpgs, which is over double, and almost triple some of the other people. I recommend driving your car lots during the year to get a good base line
Also depends how far you have to go just to get to the starting track.
The final cost is cost of entry, which could change but was $300-$350
I don't remember.

I always budget 2000.00 so I can take care of anything that might come up with cash,,,,,, and come home with some. A lot is going to depend on just the kind of trip you make out of it. There was guys camping this year.

including the 1200 mile drive there and the same back, I spent around $1400 on gas. Hotels were a bit less than that (we stayed in hotels 9 nights). Car repairs were minimal, fortunately. Mostly wore out a pair of almost new drag radials that I got on CL for $200. Entry fee including surcharge was $271.
My friend Dan paid for most of the hotels, so that helped me out considerably. Bring a friend!

Bringing a friend can easily cut costs in half, or nearly so. I don't think it costs more if you both drive(??), the times are for the car, so if you want to share racing (two or more passes a day?) you can do that too.Escaped on a technicality.Comment

There is an extra charge (insurance is my guess) if you want someone else to be able to race your car. At least that's what the rules or the rules updates say.My fabulous web page

I havent tallied it up, but 1500-2000 seems about right. I did not have any breakage so there is that to consider as well.
I did bring stuff for lunches, sandwich meat, buns, etc. but in the moving of stuff in and out of the car they got pretty beat up. So I ended up grabing track food for most of the days.Neal

For us on the West Coast. or East Coast for that matter, the killer is getting to the event. 3200 miles towing the car on the trailer plus two nights hotel and food. Then we are at the vent at the $1500-2000 is right before repairs, last minute over night shipping and beer.Drag Week 2006 & 2012 - Winner Street Race Big Block Naturally Aspirated - R/U 2007 Broke DW '05 and Drag Weekend '15 Coincidence?Comment

If you drive the car, then you dont need to deal with the trailer. You just need to make sure you dont break the car too bad. And the drive is a lot of fun, too.Originally posted by CDMBill View PostFor us on the West Coast. or East Coast for that matter, the killer is getting to the event. 3200 miles towing the car on the trailerLast edited by squirrel; October 17, 2011, 07:33 AM.My fabulous web page
