Hmm, sounds kinda like the time you and your pal discovered the 300mph dragster secret that turned out to be BS. Show us a link?www.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed! -
Why so you can go start a flame war over there to.......I think I'll keep that site free of you.......Originally posted by dieselgeek View PostHmm, sounds kinda like the time you and your pal discovered the 300mph dragster secret that turned out to be BS. Show us a link?
Though, here's the quote.
The person who told you it was a bad idea to have full boost at 3k rpm doesn't know anything and I wouldn't listen to any advice they gave. Most people shoot for full boost by 3k rpm, and lots of guys have full spool by 2500rpm.Last edited by TC; September 30, 2011, 09:30 AM.Comment

TC you should think about what your saying if your going to have full boost by 3000 then what are you going to do as the tires spin? My geuss is dump boost once you dump it its harder to get it back. Maybe you should match it for the power needed at a given time in the curve of what your trying to do. I doubt you will hook up on a slippery surface ,,,, like Salt2007 SBN/A Drag Week Winner & First only SBN/A Car in the 9's Till 2012

To the OP don’t make it more than it is, Boost is a measure of restriction, no boost means you’re either not making the air come out of the turbo and hit a restriction or the turbo is not supplying the volume of air needed to make the restriction happen. This can be demonstrated very easy TC you getting this,,,,, go to the bathroom TC Tweezers out, take a pee now slowly clamp down what your feeling is boost. A lack of Pee is low volume the bigger restriction will increase boost. TC You will make more power with a better head and less boost than a lot of boost that’s made at the first restriction and never see’s the cylinder. Stop and think where your restriction is.
I hope this explaination is not to graphic for some membersLast edited by JeffMcKC; September 30, 2011, 09:52 AM.2007 SBN/A Drag Week Winner & First only SBN/A Car in the 9's Till 2012

Tire spin is something I'll have to deal with when the time comes......but for now thinking that I'm just going to blow the tires off is pure speculation.........Originally posted by JeffMcKC View PostTC you should think about what your saying if your going to have full boost by 3000 then what are you going to do as the tires spin? Preaching to the choir.......Why do you think I bought those AFR heads.........I don't plan on running a lot of boost, about 15lbs at the most, figure I'll turn that down for street driving to about 6lbs.........Originally posted by JeffMcKC View PostTo the OP don’t make it more than it is, Boost is a measure of restriction, no boost means you’re either not making the air come out of the turbo and hit a restriction or the turbo is not supplying the volume of air needed to make the restriction happen. ACtually, every other detail you claim about this build is the speculation. Thinking that tirespin is speculation is what those of us who have worked on these types of cars call "BS." You definitely are the king of BS on this forum :-)Originally posted by TC View PostTire spin is something I'll have to deal with when the time comes......but for now thinking that I'm just going to blow the tires off is pure speculation.........www.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed!Comment

Revisiting this comment. Where did I say having full boost at 3000rpm is bad? All I said was, your claim that it'll happen is total BS because you never ever finish what you claim you're going to do. Alex, you're such a f*****g d*****s they should ban you permanently from here.Originally posted by TC View PostYou know I have to agree with you, I signed up over at the TurboForums.com a while back, I posted what you said about having full boost come on at 3000rpm and that you said that was a bad idea and would just blow the tires off the car, the response I got from them was for me to not listen to any advise that you give, that you don't know what your talking about. They said most guys like to have full boost by as little as 2500rpm....They also said the problem with me having full boost by 3000rpm was that I probably wasn't going to find an exhaust side housing that will spool that fast and not be a restriction to exhaust flow at 8000rpm.......Their recommendation was to lower where I want my peak HP to come in and still have full boost come in at 3000rpm........Last edited by dieselgeek; September 30, 2011, 11:40 AM.www.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed!Comment

The sad thing is Brain has banned both me and Mark for doing the same thing you are doing right now.......And they just let it go.........You have been nothing but calling me names and telling me I don't know anything in almost every post.........Funny thing is I went to the forum you recommend to go to, and they contradicted what you said.......You may know how to tune an EFI system, but IMO that's all you know how to do........Again how many cars of your own have your built??.......Ya that's what I thought.........Zero.........Originally posted by dieselgeek View PostRevisiting this comment. They sure didn't ban you guys long enough. Hell, I'd take one for the team if the rest of the crowd here wouldn't have to read this crap!!!Last edited by dieselgeek; September 30, 2011, 12:03 PM.www.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed!Comment

Thing is I posted on the Turbo forums and get this, I actually got some useful info and wasn't treated like a piece of shit.......I just don't know why that can't happen here........But instead everyone needs to act like the know it all's and belittle the people that are looking for knowledge.........Know wonder we don't get a lot of new posters............Last edited by TC; September 30, 2011, 12:09 PM.Comment

So... The thread get hijacked and the 'experts' only offers useless comments... Typical BS >
I think checking all the connections to the turbo and vacuum lines would be a good place to start. However, till you get the fuel issue fixed. It will be hard to identify your boost issue.Comment
