I got to thinking, how much boost can a carb handle, and how much HP can a Carb realistically make??...........

Most PSI I know of is around 40PSI. . Steve Morris builds 2000+hp on his single dominator blow through combos (pump gas to boot)
Double post? Don't know how that happened.

I kind of think you're asking the wrong question - not "how much is possible" rather "how much is reasonable." I've done the blow through, and once you get above about 12 psi, sealing becomes a huge issue.

What troubles did you have at low of pressure. Have ran mine higher than that for years.
How quick can you tune it and can you tune it going down the road, when you dont own the parts go EFI and save the issues and time so you can keep it in tune.
I know EFI would make tuning it easier, but I want to do a blow thru setup, you know just to be different......
I'm looking at these guys to get my carb from, any of you guys heard of C&S Carbs?? They say they can tune carbs up to 2500hp and 40lbs of boost.......So I'm thinking my setup will be a walk in the park for them......

Yes, I first met them when they worked out of two storage units, at a Storage Wars kind of place, they have came a long ways LMAO there is a Base Carb of one of those for sale at Midwest Motor Sports 913-334-0477 get some numbers maybe you can save some coin I am sure C&S can look the numbers up and tell you if it can work or made to work for you
WOW. I can build an MSII, purchase injectors and wiring for less than the cost those carburetors(or even an MSIII at the cost of some of them). Save money everywhere on the build and buy an expensive fuel system. Nice.
I guess on topic would be as much boost as you want to spend $$$$ on.
(I figure fuel pumps would be a push in cost between the EFI and Carbs).

Guess you didn't see the pricing on the link........
I know I pictured the carb with the dual needle and seats, which is another $415.00 more......I'm figuring at the most it'll cost $1500.......Prices start at $833.99
And I'm not going to get into a price debate about it either, we all know at this power level the injectors aren't cheap and then there is all the other stuff.......IMO it's a push either way.......
And Jeff thanks for the tip, though I'll probably just buy a new one from C&S that is already all setup for my application, I like the idea of pulling it out of the box and bolting it on, starting it up and driving away.........
