    much more than i expected....

i have to say when i started this ..all i wanted to was to finish..when you break the beams on friday,,no matter where you are in the standings ,,you won. and thats all i was really hoping to do....
in fact when i launched on friday..i was laughing so hard i about forgot to shift..glaned at the tech and it was at 7800 rpms..i about crapped .hit the shifter and kept my foot in it.....i must have had a huge smile on my face cause the girl giving time slips was shaking her head and said "your having too much fun"...
i met some great people...saw some awesome cars and pretty much had the best time ever....
it was bigger and better than i amagined... i cant wait for next year...

          That was fun, eh?

I finally made it home...no problems with the car on the way, aside from the gas gage kept moving from F to E. like, 12 times or something.

I did notice my air filters, which were white three weeks ago, are now black.

Last year after watching the live feed all week I said you guys were my heroes. After seeing part of DW and meeting some of you, I can double down on last year's comment. I have to admit, you've infected me with your disease.....my fever is definitely up!

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! (when will we have dates / locations for next year?)

                    Thanks John,

The dates has been the first week after Labor day, so that would make it the week of 9/10/12. Locations will probably be announce early in 2012. Hot Rod has to negotiate with the tracks and find tracks that make for a good drive between.

That 1200 mile drive to either one isn't too bad for us western guys either. It would be nice if they did start there, and yeah it would be fun to go east next time

Congratulations to all. It was a tough but good Drag Week. Judy and I had a good time. As CDMBILL stated, the thrash to get to drag week with an untested car is not a good thing. I want to thank Paul, Tommie, Neal, Chad and especially Mike Crow for all the help. WALT
