ok, so in Kansas when they do road work to the shoulder of the road, they have a sign person 2 miles before and after the work and then you get escorted. this was just a little bizzare to me

the highlight of this night had to be driving thru a fog that i believe to be cow farts. i am not sure of this and maybe someone will say what it was. we rolled up the windows and you could hardly see thru it.

we get to Amarillo, take a shower then go looking for action. went downtown, didnt see anything going on and went back to the room

next day was cold, windy and wet. we made our pass and didnt stick around long as this was the longest leg of the trip and we wanted to go out to eat somewhere. so cool pics in the tower from back in the day

Crap, i lost a whole bunch of pics from this day but recovered a couple. Amarillo to Tulsa was the longest but most cool trip we took this year.

this cracked me up as we were about to blow our drag week budget



Conoco gas station was cool as shit. nothing we build as any kind of culture or cool arcitecture anymore.

got to Tulsa pretty early, went out to eat than hit one of the nicest bars i have ever been to in my life. Baker Street Pub, after ordering drinks i asked where the men's room was, girl pointed at a sign and said right there. OK, cool. walk into the hallway and it was a giant bookshelf. kept walking down the hallway till i come back out into the main area where the band is about to start playing. WTF!! ok, i guess, i'm in the wrong hallway, (i know they must have a video camera and laugh at people) back in the hallway with the bookshelf, i start grabbing books like as if i'm an avid reader so i dont look like an idiot then all of a sudden one of the book shelves opens up and a dude walks out.

after i got back, must have been 20 minutes later it seemed, I told Kev he needed to go see the Men's room. He never found it.

this whole leg of the trip was really cool.

one of my favorite cars and the one of the nicest guys i met was this Black Dodge drivin by "Dandy" Dan "Landy"
a big cuban stuck out of the open face helmet as he rowed gears down the racetrack (he was actually pushing buttons but whatever)



this car was spottless all week and thought that Kevin was possibly sneaking out to wash it in the middle of the night

one thing i'm pissed off about is my friend's first trip to Drag Week and he didnt get a window banner for his car. I busted Rick at GV balls about this damn banner every day. Kev's first DW and doesnt get a banner

Tulsa was the House of Hook this trip and the track was beautiful. here is a pic of Monte Smith saying Hi to Doc Fox

during a slight drizzle, i started hoping into some cool cars and 38 special built buy Bob Larson was really cool. the little details in some of the cars were just awesome. i'm not just talking about the rat rods but a close look at the fast malibu and pinto showed some fine engineering

WTF ever happens in Kansas, it's like another country, I DO know they have lots of tornadoes, other then that... Well, I'm not too sure.. I think that whole region lives in a vacuum.. Oklahoma DOES have the Sooners!!
