How much will new spribgs settle? I cut 1/4 coil off new moog 5596s. And installed them, and it looks like a gasser.

1/2 inch to an inch depending on rating .. I'd drive it around for a while and if not low enough by spring cut more off

Remember how many times I pulled the springs in and out of my Impala? You can cut out more, can weld coils back on.

Yeah, was going to drive it today, but didn't have brakes, need to bleed them and was alone so fenced instead.

V6 springs? What application is the 5596? I put stock MCSS springs in my Malibu and it was nose high. Cut 3/4 coil off them and it sat nicely with zero gap from 26in. tall tire to the fender. MCSS springs are 5606's or so, which is stiffer than your 5596's. In the blind, I'll say cut another 1/2 coil off, but I like running a stiffer spring.

5596 are non AC v6 Malibu springs. either it settled some overnight or im drunk, its an inch or two above a 26in tall tire.

yeah my monte looked like a gasser for about 2 weeks until the springs settled

i used 3.8 regal non-ac springs in my 4.3L
