I got to drive my friends 06 ex-detective PI car last night, I did a few things with that car thru downtown houston that I normally wouldnt do but when HPD rolls up next to me and waves, I thought that gave me the green light to act a fool, LOL but over all its a fun car to drive, it has sparked my interest

btw while in the car i saw a receipt that my buddy had to have the flywheel replaced on it, he said thats a common problem on those cars, any truth to that ?

One plus with a full size car, all the crap to be happy at an Autocross event fits with room to spare in the trunk.

So, after todays second of the two day back to back SCCA regional AutoX's, I've got a third( 7cars in class today) to add to yesterdays second plus a trophy for quickest average run total for both events. Thats to much fun to have with a car that was just bought Thursday evening.

i have worked at the local dealer for a little over a year now and have never had the replace a fly wheel in any panther platform car. and we have a fleet contract with the police department (this means we also get the chargers, impalas, tahoas, ect)

Sweet car! Wow, from my county, Wyoming! My buddy on the T Town PD probably knows the sherif.

One of these days we got to get together.

Wyoming as in the State of, Tom lol.

Charles, the best part of driving this car, is how the left lane on the Highway seems to be free of traffic for you, as if Moses was parting the Red Sea for you. Ho yeah, and the friendy waves from "other" Police cars lol.

Black ex cop car? Ever come up on someone only to have them slow down and stare at you in their mirror? If you drive it with a suit on, you'll never get carjacked. Ha.

I love these cars. I had a 06 grand Marquis and I loved everything about it. Grea mileage, power, handled well, rode like a dream...I can only imagine the awesomeness of a black P-71

I love how this pic turned out!!!

Ordered a Trans-Go shift kit, MSD coil packs and Magnaflow mufflers today. I'm going to run it down the 1/8 mile this Friday's Test&Tune at the local track if it doesn't rain, to get a baseline, and then see if the bolt-ons help.

So far I've drove it 1050 miles in 12 days, and with spirted driving it's returning 22 mpg, which I think the bolt-on may help more than the performance end.

Congrats with a bad ass lookin ride Jeremy.I love american police cars, and these ones are the last ones of that type in the US..you know...frame-rear wheel drive and a V8 engine type of cool machinery.

                          Is that 17 inch wheels with a 41/2 inch bolt pattern?...how much backspace?.Will they fit a Fox 79 with 5 lug ?

Yes Arild, 17" wheels 235/60/17 rubber, and 4.5x5 bolt pattern, and fit 5lug FOXs great. the offset is pretty much the same as the 05 and up Mustang, which those wheels fit a FOX with 94 and up suspension the best.

Now Cam has a small version to play with in his room lol. Its actually a Merc Marauder but close enough. Added some siler model paint to the wheel center to look like center caps

I got to hear John McGann's CV last night. With the heads, cams, headers, and now new exhaust; it sounds so sinister.
