Cobra, sorry to hear. I lost a good buddy last year at the age of 49, was working in his garage didn't feel well, went to the hospital and was gone the next day from an anuerism...you never know, which is why I try to do everything I want to try before I check out....road trip!

i agree. august is woodward. i was planning to go because it's on the bucketlist. but i'm not sure i can go now, because of the parents health and pop refuses to go into a retirement complex. but everyone is telling me that i have to live my own life and to go.
it's a tough choice.

my buddy was 78. he had won a fight with cancer. had machinery placed in his chest. but still would get out and paint cars (against the doctors request). he lived a full life, but we knew it was just a matter of time.

We had lunch today at Freddy's frozen custard and steak burgers and love their food! So I googled locations and it looks like the one in Joplin might be open when the PT goes through. Wondering if anyone else might be up for stopping there for lunch on the way to Miami?

Really..... Your GLAD that the Jayhawks won?!?! I'm still shocked that Mizzou threw away a 19 point lead. But, that's what happens when you go into conservative mode. It's just a shame that Kansas refuses to play an out of conference game once a year with Mizzou to keep the 105 year old rivalry alive.....

KU did the same thing in Columbia.....tossed away a big lead by trying to protect it.
