Do you have an exterior battery shut off installed ?, can't run on a track without one if you've moved your battery to the trunk .

Yep I have a Flaming River push cutoff switch. We came out of the battery to a ford solenoid mounted in the back so the starter cable doesn stay hot while running the length of the car. We grounded everything in the rear and hooked up the solenoid. We added a 300 amp breaker box instead of an inline fuse. The setup will be NHRA compliant.

I could go with that if you added the POWS (Pissed off wife syndrome). Went to buy a ZR1 when they first came out. Wife sighed and said now we have to spend all that money modifying another new car. I thought about it and came back with, well it might be better (I never said cheaper)., to modify the Goat anhow. It was after all, paid off. She agreed. Two years later she asked in a moment of smartassedness, how is your more expensive than a ZR1 project going. When I told her we were past my ZR1 and most of the way through hers, that's when the fight started. We haven't spoken in two years.

ah the joys of the car hobby. I'm so lucky - my wife told me that whatever I bought (Corvette, GTO, etc) that it had to be manual so she would enjoy driving it. She's also the one behind putting a power-adder on the GTO (I'm reluctant to modify the car I have to drive everyday - other than make it more comfortable)

                Custom Valve Covers

I whipped up some custom covers for my Pontiac. They are color matched to the Whipple logo and supercharger. Enjoy.

                    Already moved them.

Tried the painted GM Performance Valve Covers on today. Agreed the letters need to be touched up, my first real attempt at stenciling and there is some residual Masking tape painted red still sticking to them but I think the effect goes well with the Whipple.

I spent a grand on a hood when I had the 2300 on it. When we went to the whipple had to sell it at a loss. I am waiting now until we get the cogs in place and everything up and running. Then we will build the hood.

We finished the trunk mounted battery today. Bruce loomed and shrink wrapped all the wiring and connected up front to a distribution block with relays off the back to protect the accessories. We still need to increase the size of the wire to the Fuel pump.

Ouch, that hurt, hopefully I'll be able to drive soon. The cogs are done, waiting on the belt to arrive, then to plumb the cooling system

Getting closer, this was the long pole in the tent. REal belt, really installed and tensioned.

is that your parts GTO in the background? - I used to have a sign in front of my garage that said "any car parked here will be consider a parts car" of course, someone stole it... but I'm sure it's still being used

                                that thing looks so mean.
