Here's a potential solution to your problem....

This is a dual brake/clutch master cylinder used in 61-68 International Travelalls and Pickups. The obvious downside is the single reservoir, but if that doesn't bother you, it looks like it would give you the room you're looking for.

Here's the site to order it from if you're interested.

Rock Auto has that same master cylinder for about half the price (under 1963 International C1000, 4.3L 266cid V-8 ).

To paraphrase "Gauges, we don't need no stinking gauges..." When you hit the loud peddle on this thing the last item you will be looking for is gauges. "Warpspeed Mr. Sulu..."

Tilton has various sized reservoirs. Use the small one. We also remote mount them, you could do that without much drama.

Brakes will be important to this car.
        I'm still learning

Brakes will be important - that's the understatement of this thread! I know Tilton stuff isn't cheap - but I think you need to look seriously at the remote set ups Bob is suggesting - it's tighter than a 5pm subway in that engine compartment.... you need all the help you can get. The "passenger side remote" is an interesting idea - but isn't there a turbo over there as well?

If you do the passenger side deal ala sunbeam............might as well make it dual controls and write it off as a educational vehicle. Think of the possibilities.

Picture of you in your shop pondering the situation - - got you covered there. You didn't know I had security vision with a remote monitor here in Ohio did you?
Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

wow, I didn't realize I looked so chiseled....

well, I ordered the wilwood master cylinders.... I hope they work - fortunately they're not terribly expensive.

Interesting... I'm now thinking rod across the top of the firewall (under the cowl) across to the passenger side, then back inside the car... fill it in the glovebox.

Can you leave the master cylinder close to the pedal - and just have the remote resevoir under a trap door in the bottom of the glove box? I mean, being a proper ladies car, it will require room in the glove compartment for a box of tissues, etc.

so I got my tires today.... looks like it needs to be 1 1/2" lower to be perfect

                        about a 1" or 1 1/4" flare per wheel

got the master cylinders today and the tubing to do the downtubes for the turbos

now it's time to start moving towards making this little beastie move under its own power

I may, after looking at how my wife fits in the car - move the steering wheel back another 4" and the pedals back another 4"... make it a bit cramped for me, but, again, it really is her car.

And I finally have to chime in. Bitchin, with heavy on the itchin as I quote a famous guy who edits a certain magazine these days who quoted a past legend recently. Completely and utterly an absolute hoot!

I bombed around in one of these when I was in high school - it was a girlfriend's - and I sure would like to find out what it would be like to catch third in this beastie, Methinks pucker moment isn't going to come close. I hope the Mrs. has a helmet!

I can't even imagine... just effin badass...

99 - it's funny, it's the guys who drive race cars who seem to get the idea behind this car the best - yes, this car is meant to put AC Cobras back on the trailer

Beags - I don't know if that column is going to stay - wife got into the car last night and we determined she needed 2" longer arms (do Italians have ape-like arms?) so it may not - however, if you look closely at the keys on the floor, you'll see the ignition key strongly resembles a Ford key... the PO didn't have keys and I'm sure had a Ford ignition switch - so he installed it, well, I might add - I tried uninstalling with my special Fiat-lock-removal-tool (a screwdriver) and that didn't work, so I went to my GM-master-ignition-switch (BFH) and still didn't get it out.... but that actually makes sense, you'd figure the italians would be really good at keeping their cars from being stolen; thus would design robust ignition switch holders.... at least, that's my hypothesis.

Well - I'm of Italian decent - and I must admit the men in our family do have longer than average arms, my maternal great Grandfather had very long arms and enormous hands. Perhaps there's something to your theory. I'm only 6' 1" my brother is 6' 4" and we both tend to want all our vehicles to have telescoping steering columns - to - perhaps beind out of Italy for two generations has brought our arm to leg length closer to "normal"?

This car is going to be elegantly brutal to say the least.
