It will have a winch of at least 9k capacity that is American made. It won't be a design like the Warn 8274

yeah, the laid-back ones came through... and what nice looking flanges they are

first, since I had the time I threw a bit of paint on the spindles

and the long-awaited parts.... they do look nice, and at 45 delivered are a really nice piece

            now, about that emergency brake

So finishing up of this portion of the product... or, foundation is done, now on to winch, rack, canopy, outfitting
              bracket bolts on nice...

so there were a few modifications... grind the nub off the bottom of the caliper and grind a bit on the bracket

              mostly together

I shortened the brake lines and zip tied the lines away from moving bits

so this truck always was a bit suspect on stopping, and it looked like the master cylinder was leaking on the top... it wasn't - so, on a hunch I ordered a new master cylinder (new, not rebuilt) for 20 bucks.... and saw this

              and it looks like

I would not hesitate to drive the wheels off it... albeit slowly :-)

I'm judging by the dual exhaust that your truck is the NON-turbo diesel 6.2L, eh?

I had one in my Jimmy a few years back... good news is, its got gobs of torque, all the way up to 400 rpm... and will get you great mileage...

bad news is, its a smelly, stinky, oily, headache-inducing exhaust... keep the windows up and the A/C on!!
Yes, I'm a CarJunkie... How many times would YOU rebuild the same engine before getting a crate motor?

25 mpg, will pull anything (albeit sssllllloooowwwwllllllyyyyyy).... but I guess I'm just getting old because I don't care. I have a 455 Buick, GTO, and Spider so quick is covered..... and I did just get the A/C fixed so it's all good. As for the exhaust.... in most cases the truck outruns the exhaust so it's only the sap behind me that suffers

oh and I do have some long-term plans for that hp issue.

This is the only long term HP plan I could think of...

I'm building my 86 chevy 2wd into a cummins powered daily driver. I'm in the process of making it a shortbed and doing the body work. The motor is out of my 94 2500. Let me know what you guys think or if anyone has pics of this swap so I can get some ideas of how to do the mounts.

Put a Banks Sidewinder on it. It certainly won't make the thing comparable to a modern diesel truck, but you won't be getting passed by people on these anymore :

That which you manifest is before you.

X1000 on the Sidewinder kit .... put that on my old F250 IDI and I could actually keep up with a stock P/S ... not beat! but keep him in sight ...
