my brother's birthday yesterday , I could not make it ..richie grabbed my engine crane , engine stand and some more jack stands out of my dad's barn/tool crib
he also retrieved a 2.5 ton floor jack I loaned to frank sr in 1998 ..so this project is a good thingLast edited by SpiderGearsMan; July 5, 2011, 08:00 AM.Comment

Finally got to work on the car today

the motor was locked up , so it got soaked in marval mystery oil , then he couldn't get it started , the second petronix was shit ..install a 57 corvette dist he bought at a swap meet 20 years ago , all the valves were too tight , not timed right , firing order wrong
1 trip to hawthorne auto parts
carb was a bit lean , rebuilt the 4 jet but got running , added 2 quats of dexron V and it rolled

Cool to see it running and driving. I drove a '57 Chevy 210 2 dr wagon as well. That one was a bit noisier.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

believe me , you could have bought a NICE F body or mustang for what this desert nomad cost with a locked up motorComment

Hey Jim, is Tones Auto body still around the corner from you? I remember a guy who rented space there many years ago had a 57 sedan delivery then moved to close to where the Target is where Packard Bambergers was.TomOverdrive is overrated
