Where to put the missing tooth?

From a junkyard. Pulled the balancer right off an early 90's escort, got home and hammered it off =P

You won't have any problem reading that wheel on your pulley. Ford VR sensor will do the trick. Here's a part number they should have at your local store: BWD brand, part #CSS800

I think that's the escort sensor. flange mount, easy to work with, and hard to kill.

Dieselgeek, I sure killed one of those Ford sensors when my bracket was vibrating around and the EDIS wheel was scraping on the sensor. I reworked the bracket and bought a new sensor, now it runs great.

Hitting the sensor with a rotating trigger wheel doesn't count as a sensor failure =P

Putting a balancer on there my concerns are renewed for signal interference. I'll check on getting a sensor tomorrow. I'll get the new balancer tomorrow, but I expect it to be roughly the same design.

The ring sits pretty recessed compared to both the balancer and the pulley, plus the balancer has holes in it that may create a false signal ??

You might use the Cherry or Hamlin hall sensors to sneak in there, but I am pretty sure you'll be fine. A couple weeks back we had a guy who cut the 36-1 pattern into his stamped pulley, which looked just like yours, and it works perfectly. I say you'll be fine with the right sensor that you can sneak in there between the balancer and pulley.

My old set up had the wheel behind the dampener and it was good form a signal perspective with an LS1 sensor. I'm doing the same with the new set-up that is required by the new Dampener. I'll post pictures when its done. Soon I hope.

I pinned the trigger wheel in four places. I started with two but it still wobbled, but no more. I set the missing tooth at 70* before TDC. Thanks again Scott for your help.
