I've got a line on some cool cylinder heads for the ol' 383 but i'm wondering if I can run a 2.08 valve on it. I'm less worried about shrouding then "interference."

Cheap, slow, half-assed: Pick three
You should be able to, I can't remember if my Sportman II's had 2.08's in them when I ran them on the 350, I'm pretty sure they did. But I do know that when I built the 406 and switched to the solid roller cam I replaced them with 2.08's.
I had Race Flo's on the 350 and switched to Severe Duty's on the 406 with the roller.....
My 383 sbc has those valves. No problems so far, but my cam is a bit mild for the heads. .540 lift.

Should fit we run them on the 383 with iron eagle plats. 4.030 bore. Id be more concerned with valve to piston. We have had that issue with those valves alot.
