well, I am planning on Doing the long haul from Coco Beach all the way to detriot... I should be back in time...Mid may is my expected return.
Tifton is not a dry county..they have beer and wine. Hard stuff I don't know. The venue (Cook County) is defiantly wet!

The rule here in my county is no alcoholic beverage sales on Sunday. Do not know for sure if it applies to the whole state, but just to be on the safe side, purchase whatever you want before you get to this venue. Better to be safe than sorry.

What I was trying to say was no alcoholic beverages are sold on a Sunday. So if there is any chance of your running out of your favorite beer, wine or hard liquor, buy it on Saturday. I am not sure if you can even buy drinks at restaurants with dinner. That is up to each individual county.

Newbie question here. Let me see if I have this correct.

Sunday morning, we head OUT of Cocoa Beach, and TO Valdost - right?

Do we go the Motorsports Park on Sunday, when we get to town?

Do we get our card punched when we get there on Sunday, or on Monday morning?

Trying to decide whether to get a motel BEFORE or AFTER the motorsports park.

Yes - punch your card at Cocoa on Saturday and stay there the night.
Leave for Valdosta Sunday morning and punch in at the venue, stay the night.
Leave for Montgomery Monday morning, etc.

Hey Lee-
You'll figure it out. We wandered around a bit but managed to get our stuff punched.
Don't forget all the vendors! They got alot of freebie stuff like shirts, hats, posters, etc, if you have the long hauler/ event card.

Georgia is a dry state on Sunday except for restaurants and bars as Demise alluded to, and that varies County to County. Some northern Counties of FL are as well, so plan accordingly.
