                                        Hey guys, new to this board... But I am actually stationed at Moody AFB, which is in Valdosta. The venue is actually about a 30 minute drive from valdosta. Tifton would be closer to get food and IMO Smokin Pig really isn't worth the drive. There is better places closer to eat. If any of you want suggestions or to check out motels please let me know. I am currently deployed..but I can have my wife check out the hotels and also i'll get together a list of good places to eat around the area.

                                            welcome aboard....some are staying in Adel, GA, near to the venue; others are staying in Valdosta, GA (Holiday Inns, etc.); it would be fair to say that many of us have never been to that part of Georgia, so...we're always looking for good info about an area we're traveling.... thank you for your service rexx
