There'll never be another Johnny Carson! As for the current hosts, Leno is my favorite and then I'd rate Jimmy Kimmel is a close second and I wish Letterman would retire or just go away.

Johnny Carson was the best - a genuine people person - he KNEW funny.
David Letterman is a car guy, but he's always been a Grand Canyon butthole.
Jay Leno is a car guy par excellence, but he's just not that funny anymore.
Arsenio Hall was hip.
Craig Ferguson is nuts - completely gonzo.
Conan O'Brien has never been funny a day in his life.
Jimmy Kimmel was best on "Win Ben Stein's Money".
Tom Snyder was pretty cool - who remembers him?
Jimmy Fallon has real talent.
George Lopez was occasionally funny.
Bill Maher is the walking, talking scraping from the bottom of my shoe.
Carson Daly dates some really hot chicks.

I really like Jay. What I like most is that he's pretty even-handed in who he lampoons and he's not cruel about it. So of those guys are just MEAN (and not in the English sense). I don't like mean. I miss Kevin Eubanks, too but Rickey is OK, I guess.
