Re: BangShift Question of the Day: What's Your Favorite Movie Car?
what a tough question, I love the cars form AG, the 55 from 2LBT, but I have to go with this...for what it is supposed to be...a 4 door moonshine runner, with a big block and a 4spd....was it really? probably not...but If I could have what movie magic was trying to create...I would be a happy man

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue -

if silly $$ found me I would try to recreate the 1973 Pontiac Ventura Sprint coupe in The Seven-Ups
This flick was produced by Philip D'Antoni, who also produced Bullitt and The French Connection and used they all employed the work of the same stunt driver - Bill Hickmana.k.a. - arrowhead from joysey

Heres a good site for review on the topic -
The most complete list on the web about cars, bikes, trucks and other vehicles seen in movies and series, image captures and information about them.
1st place is a tie between the Cobra in "Gumball rally" and the Mustang in "Born To Run"
Bullitt 'stang is 2nd
3rd is the Willys from "Hot Rod"

1. Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit
2. '70 Chevelle SS 454 (car's nickname Melba Toast) from Dazed & Confused
3. Harrison Ford's '55 Chevy from American GraffitiComment

Before or after the semi? ;DOriginally posted by arrowheadif silly $$ found me I would try to recreate the 1973 Pontiac Ventura Sprint coupe in The Seven-Ups
This question is a lot easier with http://www.imcdb.org/
Here's a few that come to mind, in no particular order.
11. Shelby Cobra (in several movies, including "The Hollywood Knights")
10. Galaxie 500 stock car in "Redline 7,000"
9. Mercury Marauder stock car in "Redline 7,000"
8. 1983 "Aerobird" Thunderbird stock car in "Stroker Ace" (a horrible movie, BTW)
7. Porsche 917 in "Le Mans"
6. Dunn's mid-engined AA/FC in "Funny Car Summer"
5. James Bond's original Aston-Martin (sure it's a six-cylinder pig with all Q's crap on it, but it'd still be big fun. Besides, who hasn't occasionally wanted an ejection seat. )
4. '68 Mercury Park Lane from "Hawaii Five-0" (Book 'em Danno)
3. Doc Hudson from "Cars" (Who wouldn't want a former racing champion that could fix himself and pass out free advice. Besides, he knows how to turn on dirt)
2. Hudson Sedan from "Driving Miss Daisy" (I hate that part where Hoke says "Miz Daisy! That Hudson's been in the junkyard some ten years now . . . .")
1. '58 Edsel in "North by Northwest"
One of the Tuckers from "Tucker: A Man and His Dream"
Black '86 Ford Crown Victoria from "Men in Black" ("just don't touch that button")
Plymouth Superbird in "Dazed and Confused" (especially if I could have had it back in H.S.)
Bugatti Veyron and Ford GT in "National Lampoon's The Great American Run" (without the tacky graphics, of course)Comment
