I have what I feel is a stupid question but I need to ask. First let me explain that on previous motors I have either not had a bottom end problem and never had to tear down the engine, or I have blown it up bad enough to need a complete new bottom end.
So re-using pieces is all new to me.
So I have to use a new block for Maxton the old one is toast. The pistons and crank are in great shape so they will go in the new block. I have new rings and some new rods that I have had sitting for a rebuild.
My question is can I still use the existing piston pins and spiral locks (no wear marks) or do they have to be new with the new rods?
