About five years ago she closely followed a brine truck home from PWs neighborhood. Three hour drive in freshly sprayed / spread ice melting salt solution.

Having spent much of my life in the ice belt I can tell you that there are times when following the salt truck seems like a much better idea than being in front of it. MI mostly used rock salt and I hated the sound of the chunks bouncing off the car. OUCH! You just KNOW what that's doing to the ride but right now you're stuck to the road. I love Coastal NC!

Media blasting with rock salt....yes, that's just what the cars needs.

I guess some cars are just meant to be disposable, as in the case of my wife's car.

Jim, sorry to take your thread in this direction....

The rust bubble in the quarter behind the pass side rear wheel, is from when we accidentally left a gallon of milk in the trunk for a few days...that was 20 years ago. . Repaint happened in 1991, I think. Or 92? It had the original paint before that. On the whole car...no collision damage.

The floors are all wrong. There should be sheets of hanging iron oxide with carpet poking thru where your feet go. I worked on many of these in MI and I'm sure that's the way they were delivered from the factory.

It would be new to me! I mean, if she's tired of it, of course.

Huh.......always wondered what the underside of those was SUPPOSED to look like.

I need to move. Or quit looking at pictures of southwest cars. Moving sounds more fun.
Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.
